Compared with step trash cans, this trash can is very easy to put into a trash bag, holds more trash and stays clean. Plus, for someone who can't walk normally, this is a big change. March 23, 2024Brilliant. I had doubts about the motion detector. But it's almost perfect. It opens very frequently when you approach it. I like it enough to order another one, it's very nice not having to step on a pedal or manually lift the lid.
March 17, 2024This can make a horrible noise when opening and closing. It looks nice, but WD-40 won't silence the horrible whining. It scares the dogs.
March 10, 2024Great Trash Can: The 20 gal liner fits perfectly and is easy to change. The only reason this has an overall rating of 4 instead of 5 stars is that there is no easy way to reduce the sensitivity of the motion sensor so that the lid doesn't simply pop open when you walk. through the trash can. I suppose there may be a way to block part of the sensor to reduce that false aperture rate, but I haven't tried it yet. My recommendation is that if you need to place this trash can near an area that will be walked through frequently, consider another option Otherwise, this trash can is perfect.
