Pretty good temperature control. The trays are hard plastic and I'm not sure how long they will last. Trays like this tend to become brittle over time. The trays are much smaller than previous dehydrators. Still pretty good for beginners.

UPDATE: They replaced everything very quickly!I had 3 trays broken right out of the box and they responded quickly and I'm now waiting for my new trays to arrive…very pleased with their customer service and I'm really enjoying the product!
